Some of us do not have this issue at all. In fact, we've diagnosed ourselves with issues relative to it. We zone in and out all day long. I think its perfectly okay to day dream. Here are 10 reasons why its good for the soul:
1. Remind yourself why you are living! 2. Remember things you forgot about 10 minutes ago. 3. Block out a nightmare that is a reality. 4. Regain Focus. 5. REST! 6. Illicit some brilliant idea that is hiding in your brain. 7. Learn who you are. 8. Trust your instincts! 9. Admire something beautiful! 10. Literally be a fly on the wall! - (Everyone's dream come true)

It was a magical brew of something special that kept my sister and I chatting all night about our dreams. A Thai restaurant in Brooklyn, NY had us all figured out that night. The brew consisted of mushrooms, spinach, healthy herbs and a dash of heavenly spices that I can still taste and long for today. It literally was soup for the soul. After being sick for almost 2 months this year with pneumonia, I had gotten used to chicken noodle soup and lots of rest and worry as I'm not one to be down for so long. There was something about finally getting out and liberating myself with my sister, my love, my best friend that put the final touches on this soup. It became the soup for my soul! Ever since then, my spunk is back and I'm ready to conquer the world. I know, I know. It sounds bizarre that this could make me feel the way it did,but it did! I'm thankful for the little things that have a unique kick that I can share with others. That is why I'm talking to you about the soup for my soul! Crazy, I know, but soooooo real!. I pray you find the soup for your soul too! :)
The Chocolate Factory does exist! It's in Brooklyn, New York. I, literally, make a daily pitstop of this place when I'm in in the city. The smell of the real chocolate can appease your nasal glands a few blocks before reaching the magic doors. As soon as one goes in, you get to see the real work of the golden wrappers and the cocoa beans. It's a magnificent experience well worth a $3.00 cookie or an $8.00 bar of chocolate. Besides Ghirardelli Chocolate, which is one of my absolute favorite chocolates, this place steals my heart everytime! What do you feel during Holiday season? Is it excitement, anticipation, worry or all of the above? It is time that you spice up more than a meal. Add some kick to you Holiday Routine. Perhaps, your family should try a new location for the holiday gathering or a new tradition. This year, my family chose to do leopard-print "Onesies". There is just something about this attire that makes one feel new again, like a baby. I want to tell you that putting on this silly uniform brought so much joy and a whole new spirit to our Holiday Season. This year, we felt love, laughter, unity. Not that these emotions weren't there to begin with, but sometimes they tend to go unspoken; and a new holiday tradition only puts the icing on the cake. It was truly a celebration of life and something to look forward too! Tell me about your Holiday traditions that you would like to try or are already doing. I just may implement them into our next year! |
