My Favorite Blogger: Sunita Ramnarine Facebook: Sunita Ramnarine Instagram: Sunitav_ 1. How did you get into blogging? I started my blog because I wanted to share my love of NYC and what initially was going to be a blog about NYC life turned into a lifestyle, fashion, beauty blog! My lesson: They say when you find what you love, go for it! I’ve found that what you love can change and manifest as it did for Sunita so just do something in that direction, and your wildest dreams will manifest. I’ve had a blog since 2010. However, it’s rare that I broadcast it. I had one conversation with Sunita about this and 90% of my blogging fears have disappeared. She told me, you have to share it. Everyone is scared at first, but just GO FOR IT! 2. What were you doing before? Before my blog I wanted to be a veterinarian and had jobs related to animal care. My lesson: DON’T BE AFRAID TO LIVE A LIFE OTHER THAN THE ONE YOU’VE PLANNED IN YOUR HEAD. I thought I wanted to be a news reporter, but when in college, my curiosity went in several different directions ranging from being a press secretary to a social media manager to a blogger to a traveler to attending law school to attending business school and so much more. In fact, I did 8 internships to determine a path. That still didn’t work. I just collected experiences and skills that made me even more curious. Thus far and somehow in my life, I’ve managed to BE A SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER, A BLOGGER, ATTEND BUSINESS SCHOOL AND SO MUCH MORE. I've even dabbled in fashion. My interest are ongoing and everchanging with each new experience. My ventures in Paris this summer made me want to do a plethora of things! It’s all about going in the direction of your dreams. I could very well go in the opposition of what I think I’m going to be doing, but I’ve learned to be okay with that too! Hence, a small voice in me wants 6 kids in which I’d become a momager! Nevertheless, I’ll go with the flow and just be happy! That’s what the most rewarding! 3. Do you love the question "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" I hate it! Lol! I don't mind it at all. In 5 years... I don't know but I do know I will be happy! Because every year gets better. I've never really lived my life to what people expect or what's normal. If I did I would most likely not be living the life I am now. My lesson: BE HAPPY! I hate this question because life throws so many curve balls at you and I’ve a certified planner that embraces all things that could possibly go array. So, I was interested to see what Sunita’s philosophy on this would be! Just reading her answer makes me smile. The greatest lesson from my favorite fashion blogger happens to be this one because adapting this mentality will save you a lot of unnecessary worry and opens you up the possibility for so many fairytales to unfold. And, yes, I believe in fairytales! So, go forward and live the life you’ve always imagined. It’s always waiting on you to write another riveting page whether you want it to or not! Why not make sure you get your happy ending by all means necessary?
